BlueSentaiHero's News

Posted by BlueSentaiHero - February 22nd, 2011

2011 has been a rather busy year for me so far. I've been working two jobs, recording lines for different people, back to studying at the Voice Acting Academy for advanced script reading, etc. Quite a start for this year, am I right? I'm not complaining though. Anyway, though I won't say the name of it, there's going to be a flash cartoon that will finally release after 2 years of waiting. After looking the process, it feels kinda weird hearing old lines that were recorded so long ago. But at the same time, it should be worth the wait.

I'll try to update my page as much as possible with news on the latest flash I've been on, and other good stuff. Peace! =)

Well yesterday I took a short tour around the "Voice Acting Academy", which happens to be the house of James Alburger. I know what you're thinking..."a voice acting workshop at a house?!". At first I thought it was a little weird too. But as soon as I got the tour, I knew from there on, it was the real thing. On some rooms, there are offices on each corner, a booth with a mic and all sorts of tapes of recorded material, and a large room with recording equipment. He even showed me some of the Grammy Awards that he received over the past 20 to 30 years for the technical work he has done. I knew from over there, that I will be trained by the best. Here's hoping that I will improve in the coming years, because I intend to get better every year.

Besides all that, I've been busy trying to get lines in for each of the people that I'm working with, including the lines for the fifth and final episode or Resident Evil Pwanchi. To those that I owe lines to, hang tight! I got a whole lot in my plate as of right now. But rest assured, I will get them done. And that's a promise. Otherwise, that's all I gotta talk about. Take care everybody!

CyoteCody555 of Pwanchi Productions permitted me to give you guys this announcement. I dunno if people will be reading this. But fuck it, I'll post it anyway! If some of you guys and gals have been following the Resident Evil Pwanchi series, then you guys are in for a real treat over the holidays. We are proud to announce that the 4th episode of Resident Evil Pwanchi will be releasing very soon. Only one more episode until the series finale.

From what I'm seeing so far in the working stages, this will perhaps be the best episode yet. The animation, characters, and sceneries are looking very good so far. Also I happened to help out with the episode a bit, in terms of contributions, writing and what have you not. And eventually, I ended up being a member of Pwanchi Productions as an assistant editor and writer. Again guys, thanks for having me aboard the team! =)

I won't be giving out any spoilers. But the only thing that I can give you, is a screenshot of a scene of Chris (whom I voice), Jill and Barry regrouping with each other somwhere in the mansion. Resident Evil Pwanchi Part 4 will be releasing sometime before, during or after Christmas. So look forward to it!

All I can say is...Anime Expo 2009 was the best one yet out of all the past experiences I had. I was able to meet up with some people from the Voice Acting Alliance and Voice Acting Club, met up with some of my favorite voice actors, brought home autographs from some of the cast members of different Power Rangers seasons, test dubbed a clip from Rurouni Kenshin, one of my favorite animes, and unexpectedly met up with former All That cast member, Kel Mitchell. I had fun overall. Even though I lost the AX Idol preliminaries again, I still had the time of my life!

I will be attending next year for sure. And I will also be competing for AX Idol again...win, lose, or draw. For now, I will cherish the memories I had there. To the good guys from the VAA and the VAC that I met with, I hope to meet with you guys next year. Peaceout!

-Craig

PS: Here's a video of me, test dubbing Rurouni Kenshin

It's just as it says. I will be attending this years Anime Expo, and I will be competing for the AX Idol voice acting competition as well. I seriously hope I at least make it as finalist this year. But if not, then I guess I did all I can. No use letting that ruin my entire experience, right? But otherwise, if you guys want to find me and say hi, I'll be dressed up as Phoenix Wright (the "hobo" version). I posted a pic of my cosplay below. I know my mirror needs to be cleaned, shut up!

One thing that I hope for the most, is that I do not go through drama during and post event. I had to deal with that last year, and seriously...that shit pissed me off, and I hope I do not go through that again. So if you're one of those peeps that will hold my hyperactivity against me, and more likely just talk shit, just stay away! I'd rather have a good time in a convention, than have some asshole rain on my parade by telling me all this shit. So in short, don't piss me off. That's the last thing I need. As a matter of fact, being pissed and having someone ruin your experience by being a total dick, is the last thing anyone needs.

Besides that, I'm looking forward to another year of fun and geeky excitement!

Well that takes care of that! And there you have it! I shall see some of you at Anime Expo!

To those that haven't seen this new RE parody series, definitely check it out! It's a parody of the first Resident Evil story, with various appearances of villains and characters from the other installments of the RE series, created by Cody Fair and the good guys at Pwanchi Productions. I play as Chris Redfield in the series, and I will soon be playing Enrico Marini in the 3rd episode. This is the first flash in which I play a main character, and not some extra or somebody's bitch. And not that it's anything too big, but it's also the first flash in which I'm paired up with the ever popular NG writer/voice actress Rina-chan, who voices Jill in the series. Still though, it's an honor to work alongside her, as well as everybody else in the cast.

So far, the first two episodes are off to a good start. Look forward to the next 3 episodes in the near future. Until then, have a good one, and enjoy the series!

In this new flash parody of Left 4 Dead, I play as Bill. This is the first time I've ever played an old man, and not to mention, the first flash cartoon that I'm in, that topped the daily charts. Notice how I sound NOTHING at all like the original voice of Bill in this one. But then again, that wasn't what I was aiming for. I tried something a little deeper and a tad similar to that of the original VA of the game. Probably one of my most challenging roles ever as amateur voice actor. Good times though!

After watching it a couple of times, I can honestly say that this is perhaps one of the funniest Left 4 Dead parodies I've ever seen, next to the current front page L4D parody, Left 4 Speed. Hnilmik's performance as Zoey is in fact, the highlight of this entire cartoon...I shit you not. Well, she did have the most lines out of all of us in the cast, but that's not the point. The funniest part of the cartoon, was when Zoey tells everyone to go fuck off, 'cept for the Boomer, at the end of the bit. Great job out there Kim! Lots of kudos to you!

If you want to check it out, you may click here or just go to the link on my list of Flash Submissions below. It ain't hard to miss! Thank you very much johnathan-wrathborne, for having me aboard this project! I had a ton of fun, with my role as Bill. And to the rest of the cast, you guys did awesome! Hope to work with some of you guys in the near future! Peace with the two fingers!

Alright boys...LET'S ALL GET HIGH!!!! XD

Here is the preview of Mark Hans Avon's (or James_The_Composer from Voice Acting Alliance) original pixel video web comic series, Takuto. In my personal opinion, I think Mr. Avon has a unique sense of artistic abilities. While some may not agree, this kid's passion is just burning and brimming with confidence, that this project will turn out beautifully. It just comes to show that originality is not dead, and I think Mark represents that with full grace.

Overall, I really had fun voice acting for this project, and I'm really happy with how the preview looks like. At the moment, I'm still recording lines for the series. I for one, am excited to see the completion of the first episode.

This scene you're about to view, is a pencil art cutscene with hardly any animation. Almost like an interactive storybook, as it is intended to be. The majority of the animation will be done with the use of the RPG maker. Enjoy!

I know I mentioned that me and my friend will be working on a Street Fighter flash a long time ago on my first real post. But we've decided to cancel the project, so we can focus on working on an animated series we've been planning to put on Newgrounds for quite sometime, titled "Oracle Spirit". This series is pretty much our little tribute to shounen action anime.

Our inspiration comes from the flash series, Xin (which is shown here on Newgrounds) and existing shows like Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Ninja Scroll, a bit from ninja themed Super Sentai shows like Ninja Sentai KakuRanger and Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger. We've been coming up with a whole lot of character ideas and story concepts for the series for about a year. And now that finals are almost over, me and my friend can finally work on the first two episodes of the series. All we need to do is some storyboarding, animating, and of course, we'll need to find some voice actors. Just so you know, I will be voicing one of the main characters in Oracle Spirit.

I will reveal details about the story once we're done writing out the first two episodes. As well as other characters. For now, I leave you with some concept art of one of our main characters, Skye Thorne, who will be introduced in the first episode of Oracle Spirit. The art is done by my friend, Fred Lalas (FlawlessEra). The final version of Skye will, look different of course.

Look forward to it, folks!

SF flash project cancelled! Long planned original animated series in the works!

OmegaFinal is at it again! That's right! As you guys probably already know, he's currently working on the latest entry in his That's Totally BS series, Team Fortress. If you guys want to know who I voice in that episode, I will be voicing one of the skunks...more specifically, the R-Skunk. Yup! My first flash animation role is a skunk! Ain't nothing wrong with that, though! We gotta start somewhere, right? But overall, I had fun playing as my character.

Anyway, I can't wait to see how this one will turn out! I'm very stoked about it!

As for the SF flash animation project, it will be put under a long hiatus, due to other priorities that me and my friend have to attend to. But rest assured, I'm still in the process of deciding which characters will be included in the flash, and of course, I'm trying to storyboard some of the fight sequences on my own.
